I grew up near Philadelphia and I’ve lived near Helsinki for most of my adult life. I have a wife and kids and a dog and a mortgage so I’m adulting pretty well. Or pretty poorly, depending on how you look at it. I used to read a lot of non-fiction, but I’ve forgotten how to do that anymore. My family says that anymore at the end of the last sentence sounds wrong, but it’s all good.
I teach lingusitics at the University of Jyväskylä (in Finland) and I really enjoy it - mostly because my students are really great. My courses are on grammar (aka morphosyntax) and corpus lingusitics and semantics.
If I keep trying to type lingusutics, one day I’ll get it right.
